Dr. Josh Carpenter earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Oklahoma State University and his Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center.
He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is Board Certified in Audiology from the American Board of Audiology.
Dr. Carpenter has been licensed as an Audiologist since 2019, when he completed a one-year externship at the VA Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. Prior to joining the team at Pacific Northwest Audiology, Dr. Carpenter worked in an outpatient hospital clinic, taught Audiology courses for doctoral students at Wichita State University, and worked in a private practice in central Washington.
Dr. Carpenter is passionate about developing relationships with patients and helping them experience life to the fullest through better hearing. His goal is to enable patients to spend time with friends and family and participate in activities they love the most without communication difficulties.
In his free time, he enjoys experiencing the outdoors with his wife Marcy and son Knox. His favorite activities include hiking, camping, skiing, and watching sports.
Dr. Ashley Penner received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Biola University in Los Angeles, CA and her Doctor of Audiology degree from Pacific University in Hillsboro, OR.
She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is Board Certified in Audiology from the American Board of Audiology.
Her passion for Audiology began in high school when she learned American Sign Language. Dr. Penner believes communication plays a key role in relationships and is eager to improve communication through better hearing. She is a strong believer in educating patients and helping them make their best decision for better hearing.
Dr. Penner is proficient with all hearing aid manufacturers. Her passion is finding the best match for what works for her patients’ lives. She enjoys getting to know her patients and is always down for a good laugh.
When she is not at work, Dr. Penner enjoys spending time with her husband, Sam, and husky, River. She also enjoys hiking, biking, and being outdoors in general.
Dr. Mary Joyce Woody earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences from the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ and her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA.
She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is Board Certified in Audiology from the American Board of Audiology.
Dr. Woody has been licensed as an Audiologist since 2012. Prior to joining the team at Pacific Northwest Audiology, she worked in a private practice that allowed her to enjoy the cultures of Missouri and Colorado before bringing her to Oregon.
She prides herself on providing excellent patient care and experiences true enjoyment in helping her patients live healthier and happier lives through improved communication.
Outside of Audiology, she enjoys hiking, camping, gardening, baking, and exploring new cities with her husband, James, daughter, Evelyn, and cat, Mew Shoo.
Dr. Ian Cox earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Linfield College (now Linfield University), a post-baccalaureate Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Portland State University and a Clinical Doctorate in Audiology from Western Washington University. Dr. Cox has a diversified clinical background from working with patients of all ages and in a variety of settings, including Mayo Clinic Health System, Private Practice offices and Ear/Nose/Throat Clinics throughout the Pacific Northwest and Midwest.
Dr. Cox is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology with a Certificate in Tinnitus Management, a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is Board Certified through the American Board of Audiology.
As an Audiologist, Dr. Cox enjoys combining his passions for the arts, sciences and education. He loves getting to know his patients while collaborating to identify their hearing healthcare goals. Dr. Cox strives to support patients through a compassionate and comprehensive approach to their audiologic (re)habilitation.
Aside from Audiology, Dr. Cox loves spending quality time with his family, girlfriend and friends. In his free time, he enjoys rowing, playing piano, snowboarding, mountain biking, and working on mechanical or carpentry projects.
Theresa was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. She moved out to the west coast and spent several years in Southern Oregon before making her way to Redmond in 2014. Her career path has shined in customer service, leadership and creating a memorable experience for patients. She truly cares about making connections with people and taking the time getting to know them. You will see her welcoming face at the front desk or hear her voice when you call our Redmond office.
Theresa enjoys discovering all the different facets of herself. She loves working out, sipping wine and good conversation. She is an avid football fan and enjoys all sports.
Theresa is creative and loves to craft, decorate and design. A Christmas lover through and through, she enjoys seeing the magic and wonder of everyday life through the eyes of a child.
Melisa Zimmerman has her Doctorate in Operations and Management and undergraduate degree in Marketing. Her passion at Pacific Northwest Audiology is to provide an experience that exceeds what is expected in a medical setting.
With years of experience in the hearing healthcare industry and her own personal family experiences, she understands the necessity for better hearing. She is sharing her philosophy with staff at Pacific Northwest Audiology and empowering them to treat each patient on an individualized basis to ensure everyone has a chance to hear the best they can.
In her time outside of the office, her husband Jacob and her have a loving and active family, Riley (15) and Mason (11) that keep them busy and entertained. You'll find her cheering her family on in all sorts of sports and outdoor events.
